Storage Units in Sycamore IL


Why should I store at 64 Self Store?

We aim to provide you with top notch service. Our facility is family owned, so you will never be "just a number" to us. We also offer you the ability to set up auto-payment through your credit card or directly from your bank account.

What kind of documentation do I need to provide to rent a storage unit?

You will need to provide a valid, government-issued form of identification (e.g., driver’s license, state ID or passport).

Do you require a security deposit?

No, we do not require any security deposit. 

When can I access my storage unit?

You can access your storage unit from 6 am to 9 pm every day

Do you rent space month to month or do I have to sign a long-term lease?

Our rental contracts are month-to-month agreements – no long-term lease is required.

What type of payments do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards, personal checks, cashier's checks, and money orders.  You may also set up autopayment directly from your bank account or on a credit card.  We do not accept cash payments.

When and how much do I pay?

When you come in to sign your contract, you will pay the prorated portion of your rent for the remainder of the month.  If you are moving in during the last 7 days of the month, you will also pay for the following month at that time.

When is payment due and what are your late payment policies?

Payment is due by the first of each month (for the upcoming month).  If your payment has not been received by the 5th of the month, the unit will be double locked and the account will be charged a $20 late fee.  Accounts that are more than 60 days overdue are charged a $90 lien processing fee.

Do you require insurance on my stored goods?

You are responsible for the items that you store with us. You may be covered under your Homeowner's/Renter's Insurance policy. Be sure to check with your insurance agent. We will need a copy of the declaration page.

Who is able to access my storage unit?

You are able to grant access to your storage unit to anyone you wish. It is your responsibility to provide them with a key and your access code. We will not provide someone access if they are not listed on the rental agreement. 

To increase the security and safety of our storage facility, no employee of 64 Self Store will keep a key to your lock. 

Are the sizes exact?

No, actual unit size can very 1 to 7 inches due to construction and code requirements.

How does the unit Waiting List work?

Open an account online to get your name on our waiting list​. You will be called on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS about the storage unit size you requested as soon as it becomes available.
